Join LEAP this school year.

Harvest Home Animal Sanctuary invites San Joaquin County high school students to join LEAP, a nationwide humane education experience for youth who aspire to learn about the lives of farmed animals.

We are accepting applications for the 2023-2024 academic year through September 20, 2023.

Harvest Home’s LEAP chapter program for local high schools starts on Saturday, October 21st (9am-2pm). Students are required to commit to the third Saturdays of the month (9am-2pm) through May 2024. In addition, participating students are required to complete at least 4 service hours each month at the sanctuary. Students must have reliable transportation to and from our location to participate in the program.

At the end of the academic year, participants students will have the opportunity to apply for competitive scholarships.

How to apply:

1. By September 20th, complete the Student Handbook and Student Application.

3. After completing the Handbook and Application, documents will be reviewed by the sanctuary. Thereafter, an interview be will scheduled.

4. If selected to participate, students will start the LEAP program on October 21st.
