“I’m a lover, not a fighter,” says Jason the Rescued Aseel Rooster.

Aseel chickens are among the most recognized breeds used for the illegal blood sport of cockfighting. Jason is a lucky guy because he resides at Harvest Home Animal Sanctuary. At the sanctuary, he enjoys daily hugs from humans. Jason is also working hard on his interpersonal skills with other boy chickens. Slowly but surely, Jason’s “rooster relations” are improving.
