Mr. A

Mr. A (Full name: Amado) is a former San Franciscan! His golden feathers and bright red comb aptly sport the colors of his hometown NFL team.

Amado along with his girlfriend hen, Valor, were the companion chickens of San Francisco paramedic-firefighter Anthony Valerio who died on June 4, 2011 as a result of injuries sustained in the line of duty. Fellow fire fighters contacted Harvest Home Animal Sanctuary to find a home for his chickens. We welcomed the avian duo to our rescued flock in memory of this fallen hero.
